You must be 18 or older to join. When you put in your request to join, we'll go to your profile page and see if your FULL birthdate indicates that you're of age: your month, day AND year of birth MUST ALL be displayed. If your date of birth isn't displayed we won't let you in. So make sure your birthdate is visible when you apply, and at least until we've given you access. If you receive a rejection notice after applying, it's because you are either not 18 OR you do not have your date of birth displayed in your profile. Open-ID accounts are not eligible.

As indicated, this is NOT A WORK-SAFE COMMUNITY. The icons on display here are going to depict all kinds of things that are O.O, so you probably don't want to have it on your flist if you're going to check that at work, near small children, near your mom, your teachers, your priest, etc. Most of the icons will be hidden behind a cut, but even the teasers and the users' top-line icons may be O.O so you are hereby warned!

The Rules

1. Some of the icons may be illegal in your country of origin, because many will be explicitly sexual in nature. However, all of the icons will/must be legal in the United States of America. That means that all real-life models in nude/sexual shots must be legal adults. Photos of bestiality and kiddie-porn will get you kicked and banned. Icons that infringe on copyright will have to be removed if the copyright-holder contacts us and demands their removal, but otherwise, the sky's the limit.

2. You may post explicit art and icons of people, both celebrities and non-celebrities, so long as the subject or subjects willingly posed for the photograph, expected that the image would be disseminated, and the subject is an adult at the time the photograph was taken, not published. This means that all photographs used to make banners, icons, or other art should abide by the 18 U.S.C. §2257 Records Keeping Requirements Compliance Statement, and the original publisher (such as a porn site) of said images is required to display a statement on their site certifying that their models were all over the age of 18 at the time the images were produced..

What does this mean? It means that paparazzi photographs of any nature are not allowed, so therefore iconned screencaps of the Paris Hilton sex tape, regardless of whether or not she was an adult at the time the video was made, cannot be displayed here. It also means that if the subject was not an adult (eighteen years old or older) at the time of the photograph and it is explicit or pornographic in nature, we can't allow that either. To clarify, that means we will not allow images of exposed genitalia (full breast, vagina, penis, testicles, or anus) of underage subjects.

In regards to drawings/anime/cartoons, those images are okay so long as the character in question is an adult in canon -- no loli please! If say, the context is AU in some regard, the artist should provide a statement of what context people should use to interpret it. Such as, "in my depiction, Jack and Jill were 18 when they went up the hill." (Note: This only applies to ambiguous images. If the drawing of Jill makes her look prepubescent, that interpretation still won't wash.)

3. Since not everybody has the same tastes, and what can be exciting for one person may be triggering for another, please put most of your icons behind a cut that warns for the type of content behind it. You can display between 1-3 teaser icons above the cut, but please have them be the tamest ones in your collection.

4. You may post icons, requests for icons, requests for special tags, etc. Bases, icons, banners, and layout may also be posted. Please only post icons that either you made yourself, or that you have permission to post. If you are posting someone else's icons with permission, you must credit them and provide a link to their journal or website.

5. Comments are adored. Crediting the icon-makers is deeply appreciated. Unless an icon-maker specifically says that they don't need/want to be credited, the default is that you must credit them. Users caught taking icons and presenting them as their own creations or without credit as requested by the maker will lose community access.

6. The default setting for all posts made to this community is automatically set to Friends. Additionally, ALL posts not made by a maintainer (ardath_rekha and aristoboule) must remained Friends-locked. Changing the security level of a post to Public without permission will result in removal and banning.

7. Hotlinking is a bad, bad thing and will also result in removal and banning.

8. No sockpuppets. No fictional character journals. The journal you access the community from must be your personal journal, not that of a character you play, and must be used for more than simply accessing our community. This rule is effective as of June 13, 2010, but we reserve the right to apply it retroactively if we come across evidence that previously-admitted members used such accounts.

9. The maintainers reserve the right to modify and update the rules as needed.

3. Any material I download from this site is for my own personal use, I will not show it to a minor.
